Apply SASSA Loan Through Cellphone

To make your application for SASSA grant through your cellphone, do the following:

1. Go to https://srd.sassa.gov.za/said
2. Click on the button “Click here to apply online”
3. You will be requested to enter your mobile phone number. Enter and click submit
4. An OPT PIN will be sent to your phone. 
5. Enter the PIN code on the website to verify your mobile number
6. You will be asked to agree to the terms and conditions
7. You will be asked to provide your South Africa ID number. For resident or Asylum seekers you will be asked to provide the necessary IDs
8. File Number.
9. You will be asked to give your personal details such as your names and gender. 
10. You will also be asked to give your personal banking details. If you don’t want to give your bank details, you will be asked to choose the payment option “Send Cash.”
11. Click on the submit button. Choose and agree to the terms and conditions. 

After doing all this, please be patient and wait for the SASSA verifications information from the relevant authorities. After some time, if you are successful, you will get an SMS alerting you that your R350 grant is active. You can be doing a SASSA status check on their site

Application Through WhatsApp (Cellphone Application)

You have the option of making your SASSA application through WhatsApp. Here is what you need to do:-

1. Send a WhatsApp message to 0820468553
2. You will be prompted to provide your personal information
3. You will then recieve a reference number, an OTP number
4. You will be given an link. Click on it
5. You will then insert the OTP to verify your account
6. Give your personal details such as name and ID number.
7. Give your bank account details and agree to the terms and conditions that are set before you.
8. Confirm the details that you have submitted.

Update Your Details Through Cellphone

You have the ability to update your personal SASSA details using your cellphone. You can update your bank details reapply your grant plus other details.

SASSA Status Check Through Moya On Your Cellphone

There is this app called Moya to check your status update. As you can see you can do a lot using your cellphone to apply or update your details on SASSA.

SASSA Status Check Through WhatsApp on Your Cellphone

You have the option of checking your grant status via WhatsApp on your cellphone. Here is what you need to do:-

1. Send a message “SASSA status check” on your WhatsApp to “082 046 8553”
2. Give your name and South African ID and click send
3. You will receive a response with your social grant status[

This method of using WhatsApp is a very easy way for you to check the status of your SASSA grant application using WhatsApp.

Check Grant Application By Calling Toll Free SASSA Number Through Your Cellphone

You can use your cellphone to check the status of your SASSA account by calling SASSA toll free number. Here is what you need to do:-

1. Call the SASSA toll free number 080 060 1011
2. Give your ID number 
3. You will be given the status of your account with SASSA
